How to use:
-
Before we start:
Within your download for the Paint Overlay Pack is EVERY (quality) base model's paint overlay, template, and AO map (if applicable). I recommend you place this folder in a centralized place where you can easily access it. Personally, I have a large folder where I keep all of my resources. (drive:\Liveries\Assets\Paint Overlay Pack)

Proper Use:
This process as described will work seamlessly in Adobe Photoshop; I do not recommend using any other photo-editing programs.
Step 1 - Within Photoshop, open the *vehicle name*, *vehicle name* Overlay, *vehicle name* AO files and any of the other included files you may need for your design.
Step 2 - On the *vehicle name* Overlay file, right click on the layer and duplicate it to your template file. DO NOT copy/paste! It will move the overlay into a different spot.
Step 3 - Do the same for any of the other livery based files, and then the AO map, which should be last.
Step 4 - Lower the opacity oaccording to the AO Map Opacity Guide. Then, lock that layer.
ALL of your livery layers should be placed underneath your AO Map.
Step 5 - Use the "Color Overlay" layer style to color your paint overlay accordingly.
Step 6 - Design your livery as normal! (or pick up some tips from myself that should be out soon :P)
